I received some new equipment: macro and wide angle clip-on lenses for the iPhone and a pocket camera with a zoom lens.
I am still figuring out what they can do, but the zoom especially will let me get closer to the birds out on the lake, and the little ones in the trees. Maybe I can get a good shot of the elusive chipmunks.
Some examples of the differences.
Wide Angle: lets me frame things differently
Macro: Really interesting and I’ve been experimenting with this a lot. Very different perspective, but hard to place lens well and get good focus. Here, moss and mushroom.
Telephoto: Gets really close.
(This last is of the new giraffe enclosure at the nearby zoo, still under construction. Yes, I may see giraffes “on the path” this spring.)
