I’ve been thinking of Analdas as the rejected one, but he can be the rejecter too.
One October morning he is foraging for weeds with some ducks, as usual. A trio of geese approach and he becomes alert. Then hostile, hissing them away.
When he is busy eating again, they are cautiously persistent and come back, keeping their distance, or keeping the rock between them and Analdas.
When he comes out from behind, and the distance closes, they move off again, leaving Analdas and the ducks as they were before.
